A dental abscess is an inflation in the teeth or gums. This is usually caused by bacterial infection of the dental pulp or root, or ineffective root canal treatment. An infected root causes headaches but the worst is, it may also lead to brain disease since these infections can spread from the root of the tooth to the other parts of the body as the blood carries these bacteria to the brain.
